The Kidde i12060 (36 Pack) is for a 36 pack of hardwired ionization smoke alarms. These alarms provide a dependable warning against potential fires due to a quick installation. Additionally, these alarms have an included back-up battery that means it will operate even in situations where power to the building is lost.
These alarms can also be interconnected with up to 24 other Kidde-compatible alarms, providing even more thorough coverage. A 36 pack is a great way to create one or more synchronized fire alarm systems in your residential or commercial space. They each feature a loud 85 dB alarm which, especially when connected to other models, means you'll be able to hear a single alarm no matter where you are in your home.
This model features a front loading battery door. This allows for a faster replacement of the 9V back-up battery. Plus, the Kidde wire-in smoke alarm doesn't have to be removed from the mounting bracket making it much more convenient as well. Other features include a convenient Smart Hush button for quick silencing of nuisance alarms and a helpful alarm test function. Alarm memory also creates a visual notification with a blinking LED light to show that the alarm was triggered.
The 120V, AC-powered alarm provides the earliest warning of smoke or fire threats, even during power outages. This model uses ionization sensing technology, which detects invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires, as opposed to smoldering fires) sooner than photoelectric sensing alarms. Kidde strongly recommends that both ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms be installed to help insure maximum detection of the various types of fire that can occur within the home.
