Description
The VELUX VSS C08 2006 is a solar-powered, fresh air venting, deck-mount skylight. This model features impact Low E3 double paned insulated glass. The glass is intended to be used in hurricane-prone areas where tough impact test requirements should be met.
This VELUX skylight runs on the energy of the sun in order to provide proper ventilation and light up your home. Its solar panel can capture both direct and indirect daylight. This energy recharges the control system and battery powered operator. In addition, the solar panel is designed to function and collect light not only on sunny days, but also on cloudy days.
This product makes you eligible for a 30% federal tax credit that includes the cost of installation. This makes VELUX skylight products even more affordable for any homeowner. If installed with either the VELUX EDL or EDM flashing kit on a roof pitch between 14-85°, you can qualify for a 10-year no-leak warranty.

These warranties only apply if the product is finished, installed, operated and maintained strictly in accordance with VELUX instructions or other instructions furnished with the Covered Product. Improve Depot recommends a professional installation by a CERTIFIED INSTALLER to ensure that the product is protected by these warranties.
Normal wear and tear is not covered by VELUX's warranties, nor are problems arising from failure to properly maintain the product. The warranty on insulated glass is void if any film is applied to the glass surface. Other restrictions apply, so be sure to read the included warranty information packaged with the product.
