Description
The Kidde KN-COSM-BA is for a 6-pack of battery powered carbon monoxide (CO) and smoke detectors. These devices use 3 AA batteries each, which guarantees their operation during power outages. For the smoke alarm, ionization-sensing technology is used. CO is detected through electrochemical sensors.
These Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide detectors use a wide-variety of voice commands to make the user experience much easier. From confirming that hush mode is activated to a spoken low battery notice, the voice command makes clear what is happening with the detector. This is also important in the case of an emergency, as this detector announces whether the threat is carbon monoxide build-up or fire. Most of these verbal notifications occur alongside loud beeps and unique LED flashing warnings.
Each Kidde smoke and CO alarm has a life-span of 7 years and will notify the homeowner when it needs to be replaced by chirping every 30 seconds. When properly installed, this alarm flashed a red LED light regularly to show that it is operational. A test/reset button is also included on these alarms for even more peace of mind.
