The 3M Filtrete PR08-05-6 Air Filter measures 1” thick and has both negatively and positively charged fibers, attracting more airborne particles, which are also either negative or positively charged. This process turns each Filtrete filter into a “particle magnet”, attracting and securing micro-particles until later diposed. Fiberglass and washable filters are not electrostatically charged, reducing their effectiveness.

It is recommended that your 3M Filtrete air filters be changed every 3 months, or as needed.
